I had a dream the other night, and thank God it was only a dream, that I was being forced to choose the death of one of two very good friends. If I did not make a choice, they would both be put to death.

How would YOU choose or could you choose, and live the rest of your life and not let the memory of that choice eat you alive??

I figure that it would be an easy choice. Just like if I had to pick between my two sons.

i know it would be a very difficult choice, but i think i would let them do a 21st finger or rock paper scissor (can you imagine your life hanging on some dude throwing out rock when you throw out paper). better to have one die then both.

No no, they had zero say in the mater wht so ever. They were not even in the room. All they knew was that I would choose their fate.

Alright then. Well, from personal experiences with dealing with kids and friends who have driven drunk and killed their friends in the process, I think your mental capacity to put this behind you and move on with your life would be the same.

Many of these kids swore they would never drive again, yet a few months later, they were back to driving. They swore that they would never drink again, lo and behold, they were drinking a few months later.

You would never forget the decision you made or that friend that died because of your choice, but with all things, life goes on and so you must. You will always have your friend to support you because you saved his life, and that in itself, is worth something.

It's a matter of choices. I can choose. I'm sure if you had to, you would to.

i guess every father has a favorite. but like it was stated, if you dont choose, both will die, then what kind of father would you be if you let both of your boys die. at least you would be given one of them a chance.

I don't know. In my dream I actually chose one and when I woke up, I had the most gawd awful feeling in the pit of my stomach!

My dreams are always vivid and specific. Sometimes it seems pieces are missing but they are always detailed.
