How important is a guys shoes?

freak daddy

New member
Call me a freak, but I have like 12 pairs of shoes. Mostly all black. Hi-techs, 2 pairSketchers, 3 Otomix, Cole Hahns, Stacy Adams, 2 pair of Nikes, Timberland Sandles, Nike Sandles, and a pair of casual mocassins. I had alot more but gave them to my brother and Goodwill.

In a White collar business environment, shoes are probably one of the most important aspects of respect and Style IMO.
A guy can have on a $300 suite and if his shoes are shit, he looks like shit....

yup they're far more important on a guy

girls can distract you with their boobies and shit buton a man you ned to have the whole package to make a suit look good for example

Got 12 myself and about to have 13 when I get me a pair of the newest Nike Air Max......I have a pretty extensive wardrobe...call me crazy, but i like to dress nice....seems that girls respond to it rather quickly.....you could be the handsomest mofo on the planet...but if you dress like shit you'll only get the girls who you really don't wanna be around.....

:teleport:

They're real important to me... and I am a guy. I've always bought interesting shoes not everyone has, and taken exceptional care of them. They are one of the most crucial pieces to an impressive wardrobe.

I know it's a little off the subject but... To all the guys who wear those skidz pants and high tops that have definitely seen better days... GOVE IT UP!!! You look like a reject from a Kid Rock video... and that's beyond bad. I don't care how big you are. People in our sport are already stereotyped as being stupid or at the very least slow-witted... don't dress the part!

This is not a flame, just a comment.

I recently moved to Florida with my company and we hired a chief of staff. He retied as a captain from the Navy, and he inquired as to our environment. When he learned it was business casual, he was relieved. He said, "I didn't want to go out and spend $1500 on some new suits if I don't have to".

I found this kind of funny because in New York, that's one good suit. $300 is a dress shirt and a belt.

yea yea yea, I have alot of fuk'n shoes too...... never thought I would one to have alot of shoes though... how did I get here?

Men dressing up as pretty boys....humph! I can't stand a man who thinks he is pretty.
I had a roommate once who, I swear, even got his eyelashes bleached/dyed periodically. He had 5 divorces under his belt.

I wish we could wear sandles and shorts all the time. This pressure to be a pretty boy.....Humph!!!!

God I miss the days when men were men and women were ladies.

Girls really notice shoes. It's important to pay attention to stylish shoes, and accessories. (belts, watches, etc)

If the belt doesn't match, all shoes are ridiculous.

You need to edit your post and take out the Stacy Adam brand dude. That shit if for picnics in the hood only.

Actually the pair I have is pretty sweet, there more casual dress.

Dude stop it man. You are grossing me out. What kind of sick ass joke is this? Stacy Adams... eeewwwwwwwww!! Man that is just horrendous.

My worst nightmare is waking up and seeing Stacy Adams on my feet. Or going to get my weekly foot massage and the Oriental girl turning me down because I was wearing Stacy Adams.

Dude, if Dorothy was wearing Stacy Adams and she clicked them three times, where do you think she would end up? Fucking Harlem.

It's true. You know it is too. Buy a pair of Stacy Adams and by the third day, you have to put newspaper in the soles to keep your feet dry.

I've seen Ethiopians turn down Stacy Adams. "Shoes... hell yeah... ahhhhhh.... wait a minute man, not them shoes. I mean, we po' but we don't dress like we po'."

i notice shoes.. how well they're taken care of and how stylish they are... i can't help it.

partly because i used to work in an upscale shoe/clothing store.

i like the shoes at brown's... or kenneth cole. stuff like that. brown's is usually slightly less expensive.

Women who are into expensive clothing on men are secretly looking for a high income in my opinion.

I have no use for money grubbers. This nation is so in love with money...makes me want to vomit.

Anybody hear of things like:
1) Quality of life
2) Peace of mind
3) Freedom
4) Health
5) Happiness
6) Friends and family
7) Being yourself
8) Dressing for comfort
9) Having fun with your money instead of trying to impress people that react by being jealous.
10)Personality and a good brain?????

true test boy, but i was just using brands to describe the aesthetic.

i don't spend a ton on my clothes... it's all how you put it together.

and i LOVE second hand stores.

Always figured I should have bought them real snazzy ostrich skin cowboy boots in Can Cun. They probably still have them...how many guys wear a 15?

4 pair of dress shoes

2 pair of cowboy boots.

1 pair of boots for riding my bike (Christmas gift)

2 pair of Otomix workout shoes.

3 pair of casual shoes.

Out of all those, I generally wear only a couple on a regular
basis. The rest sit in the closet.

Except my Otomix.:)

I know a guys shoes are definitely important. It completes the outfit...no matter what kind of outfit it is. My favorite shoes on guys are badass workout shoes (running, crosstraining, etc.), boots, or something like kenneth cole dress shoes...

Sandels are great on a guy in the summer.

This is probably only because I am a shoe FREAK. I think at the moment I have 27 pairs in my closet, and 8 pairs are tennis shoes...

Yes, it's ridiculous...I know.

Let's see...

I've got a pair of black dress shoes which have a nice shine. A pair of sandels. My workout shoes are Nike X-trainers. Oh, and I've got a pair of brown Doc Martins which I wear most of the time.

The Docs have definately seen better days. Hell, they're 6 years old now....

Every girl I know keeps telling me to get new shoes. Guess I should learn to take a hint, lol. As pathetic as it sounds, I haven't bought a pair of shoes in about 4 years.

I tried on a pair of Prada loafers the other day, but i'll be damned if I'm gonna spend $800 on my feet. :D They'd make a great Christmas gift though...
