how far can you drive a golf ball?

When I first started driving I didn't have contact lenses. So I couldn't see how far it went. I finally got some and went a few months later and realized I was hitting it out of the range. The range is small though, only 300 yards and it's downhill...

By no means am I a golfer, although if I played enough I think I would be better than decent. But when I go out now, I hardly ever take out me driver. I don't play enough to merit practicing and learning how to really drive, so I usually take out my 3 iron and hit that off the tee. I keep it on the fairway and get respectable numbers.

I've driven golf balls once. My dad brought me with him to a driving range.

I'm moderately sure I'm the least coordinated person ever born. Just making contact with the ball is good for me in that situation. The distance doesn't matter. lol

I wish I had your self control. :) Instead, I attempt to murder the ball searching for that elusive hole in one.

At the range, I can hit it 300+, on the course 250-300 consistantly.

Accuracy however, is an entirely seperate issue.

lol....I go at night.

Honestly people expect me to hit the ball a lot further, but it's hard for me to come across the front of my body with any finesse.

The one solid thing about getting smaller.......my golf game should pick up.

If I have enough gas I can drive that bitch all the way across country

280-290 consistent

Straight and accurate, most of the time, at about 260-275. Driving range I can hit 300+, but I am not really targeting, just trying to kill it.

I grew up in the mountain in wyoming and had open course with elevation. I learned to crush the ball at a young age. Now I am 6'5" and 240 with that same swing and hit the ball big. I used to play to a scatch a couple of years ago and would consistantly average 300+ during my rounds. Now I don't play as much, I didn't loose distance just control.

Damn, almost everyone hits 300 yards. I'm probably more around 200 now, at least that's towards the hole. There is usually another 50 or so yards way off into another fairway, though.

I'm against the abuse of golf balls. Any time that I see someone getting ready to hit one I start running torwards them screamimng NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!.

They are usually so startled that they step away from the ball, yes, some have been known to hide behind their cart. Then after I've gone past them they need a minute to compose themselves, and when they get ready to hit the ball, they realize what has happened. Their golf ball has been liberated, and is on it's way to a new home. A home where golf clubs are not allowed, and where they can roll free in the grass. :rolly:

Stop the violence against innocent golf balls!!!!!!!!

I drove the fringe of the green on a par 4 once. It was the kind of hit where you feel the weight of the ball sink through the entire club, and then it sorta slingshots itself forward.....PING!! Took off kinda like a plane. Sadly those types of hits are few and far between, on top of considering how little I golf.

never used a good driver.

with a 7 iron i go about 200 yds
