how easy/hard is the motorcycle test?

the one here in NC is actually pretty hard.....you HAVE to study or at least read over the manual, the questions they ask even a very smart normal person would not know......one of my friends who has been riding for years went with me to get mine, he wouldn't study at all, said it was easy, missed damn near half of them

my husband was saying how easy it is, but when one of his friends (like 5 years or more ago) went to S. of State, he failed and he went to another one the same day and failed that one too. In the MI Manual the sample Q's are pretty simple, I dont know if the actuall test would be that way

fuck, there was a question like that here in the samples. Also, one asking what the passenger should do when the bike is turning (I mean c'mon...), one asking about eye contact with other driviers (how you gonna do that i fyou have the sun shield on your helmet?).....

The one that worries me is the actuall riding test, the cones - I think I wont pass on those...lol

they also ask shit like, do you adjust the mirrors before or after the rider gets on, then they will give you a drinks/hour scenario, then shit like what lane to ride, pass in etc, experienced riders in front or back

The one here in Washington was easy... I took the MSF course, passed, took my cert to the DMV and they gave me my endorsement. The hard part was waiting for my MSF course.

Just watch for the goofy stuff... in TN they asked about riding in the center of the lane versus the left versus the right "third" of the lane.

And watch-out for the numbers too... stuff like is your front brake 75% of your stopping power or is it 85%?

I thought that you can take the MSF instead of the riding test only if you fail that one twice. Is it the same as the skill test?

shit, so it is all the same. I have all those in the samples. Only its in quarters. LOL @ the lanes one, not even in teh manual do they tell you that one is better than the other 2, but I would have chosen center :worried:

When in doubt, choose the center :)

Well, I'd never taken the test prior to that... they may have changed the requirements in the last 6 years though.

I re-read it. You are required to take MSF only if you fail the skill twice, otherwise you can choose between the 2. Does it cost or is it free?

my dad has been riding his whole life and failed the driving test. had to redo it on a smaller bike.

oh, thats good then.

The only thing freaking me out when on a bike is that I have limited vision because of the helmet

WTF?

Are you riding with a football helmet on?

motorcycle helmets dont obstruct view.

lol......

when I first bought it 5 years ago I bought it one size bigger so it can fit my hair inside...lol

Now if I let the hair down its a bit big and moves up or down

I have to get a new helmet :worried:

Sat the Asian motorbike test whilst picking up my drivers license. As long as you know where the handlebars are you cannot fail, nobody has ever failed, the fact that you bothered to apply is kudos enough to pass.

i got like 100% i was really hungover. LOL i drove my bike to the insurance place
