Overkill
Doing one or two grams of test a week is likely to increase annoying side effects and bloating without building much more muscle, if any, than 500 mg./week.
Pros do cycles like that since they're so desperate to win, but they also have their health more closely monitored than your average Joe.
Your body can only respond to so much test. Anything on top of that gets removed by the liver and kidneys and pissed away.
Golden Rule: Use the least amount of gear you can, while still getting good results, and you'll be happier, healthier, and you'll build more real, lasting muscle in the long run.
