Are you asking assuming one is already in a relationship? If not, you should always enter a relationship with an exit strategy. You might mention in the beginning that you put school/work/career/whatever before anything else. This gives you a great excuse to end the relationship.
If you don't have an exit strategy, I don't have any idea. But if you are the one getting rejected, that is easy.
how long have you been in the relationship? i think that matters a lot. its going to hurt no matter what, so just be honest. if youve only just started dating, tell her/him youre not ready. if its been awhile, be man/woman enough to really be honest.
I have an exit strategy...I am into exercising and fitness and I dont like people who complain about being fat and do nothing about it. I also see loosers with hot girls and I would rather have hot girl..
