How does my Tarantula survive

SoreArms

New member
My tarantula has really been my favorite pet. It doesn't smell, it doesn't make any noise and it doesn't require attention. Unfotunately, I often forget that it is there and it will often not eat for periods of up to two months. I don't enjoy it, i feel bad each time, but I am always amazed that it can survive that long without eating.

Ugh. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but just let it die. I'm terrified of them. :eek2:

It lays around doing nothing to preserve energy, I'm guessing.

But you should put an 'X' on your calendar every two weeks or something as a reminder to feed the poor thing.

I was thinking a frog or a toad would make a nice big meal as well. The giant cockroach might be good...but could the tarantula's fangs penetrate the shell?

I'd feel bad, I once had pet rats. I'm emotionless towards crickets and other similar life forms.

Who knows though, maybe I'll give it a shot. Besides, I assume a mouse is much more anabolic than crickets.

sore feed your goddamn tarantula! how would you like to be left in a box to starve to death? damn, that is cruel.

Yeah. Good thing I'm not starving it to death 'cause it's still alive, but maybe starving it to delirium. You're right though. I just threw in 5 large crickets.

Blue belly lizards, interesting.
