How do you tighten skin!

GiLOC

New member
I'm dumping body fat and gaining muscle through diet and training. BUT areas that are not compensated by muscle are getting too lose and pissing me off. I drink plenty of water to keep me hydrated, but my skin isn't tightening.
Please Help

well if you lost a lot of fat, then you're screwed....but if you've lost a relatively low amount, GRADUALLY, then it might tighten up...it all depends on your age..elasticity of your skin decreases as you get older...so if your above 25 yrs old i think your SOL..

but ive heard about the whole preparation H thing (you put that crap all over the area, then wrap plastic wrap around it overnight)

might work..but i never tried it..never had to..

I"m 6'2" 235lbs. I was once 290lbs of pure fat about four yrs ago. Muscle has compensated in all areas except upper/lower waise.
Are you serious about the prep H thing?

Thanks KAK

thats why u have to loose weight ( fat) slowly not too fast so your skin wont get too lose , it has to adjust to your changes, if u lost it too fast it will take some time for your skin to tighter. give it some time

I thought I was very patient, I've been under 250 for about 1yr and haven't seen much difference except were muscle is added.
What about the Prep H.

Yeah, I can vouch for the Preparation H thing. When I was in the army, dudes would do it all the time so they could make the body fat ( tape test ) measurements at a weigh in. I' ve seen it shrink an abdominal measurement by as much as 1 1/2 in. No shit. Keep in mind that the results are very temporary. (about 4-6 hours.)

I know what you guys are thinking; and no, I wouldn't advise doing it pre-contest as it will make your skin look like shit.

Actually, there are lots of competitors that do it pre-contest. I've seen a few women that have had children do this in their midsection. I would say that if you are relatively young, it will tighten eventually. I don't know what kind of effect ALA might have on it but, it clears complexions up & supposedly is just all around good for your skin as well as, being a great supplement in other areas. I'm not sure if it would help in your case or not but, it'd be worth doing research. Good luck!

It takes time, as in years at least months, and if you are eating clean, good diet, training hard and it still doesn't change it takes surgery.

Sorry no short cuts.

Pros?

This doesnt make sense to me. If you guys are right, then how do pros that are over 25 like Lee Priest who put on ALOT of fat during the offseason and look disgusting, lose all that weight during there precontest cutting cycles, and have skin that is so tight it looks like its about to break through there skin?

I was in a similar situation, I am 6'1" and went from 250 and 46in waist down to 170 and a 31" waist over about a year and a half.

I am now 240lbs, 36in waist, much more solid, and still have a bit of looseness.

but I am over 35 now, so that is against me.

had a fair amount of loose skin, then got into to bodybuilding. A lot has tightened up over the last few years.

Surgury is the only real answer at this point.
