Not to be snarky, but there isn't one single "Pennsylvania" accent, there are South Philly accents, North Philly accents, Pittsburgh, etc., etc., etc. I cannot count the number of different ways people across this state pronounce things. It's right up there with the difference between listening to someone from the Bronx vs. Brooklyn vs. ManhattanIf you have a Pennsylvania accent, as people say I do (family from there), it's "AUR-a-gen" as rhymes with "marketing". Same with "orange". In CA and most everywhere else, they say "whorndj" as if one syllable.
Bottom line is that both are acceptable per most dictionaries.

We're talking vernaculars. Every country has them. People will actually get into disagreements over how to pronounce something. There's a reason why the song "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" was so popular in it's day and hasn't been forgotten in over 70 years.
WTF I thought that was my super power...
