we take our coffee seriously as seriously here in new orleans as does seattle peeps.

our strong coffee and chicory has choked many a tourist, as kali and saint can attest to.

i can't take "c & c" anymore; tears up my stomach.

the local brand of Community coffee, dark roast, no chicory, is my morning wake up routine, with equal and NO creme. there is NO equal. i take it with me when i got outta town.

I like esspresso, I have a esspreso machine at mah house, I like the vanilla roast(exspensive) 2 shots of that, 1/2 cup of milk, 1-2oz of carmel, toffee, or rassberry syrup

I like espresso and demi tass also capuccino, but generally, Dunkin Donuts coffee light w/cream and no sugar. At home I add 1/2 milk and 1/2 flavored creamer vanilla or hazelnut, some shit like that.

I just can not bring myself to drink it black. I guess I am just a pussy.

But if I'm at a someone's house and it's offered I'd go for Espresso with a swish of sugar or if I'm at a meeting and I'm gonna fall asleep in the chair I'll get a 20 oz cafe o' lait with 3 sugars.


Oddly enough in college my roomie made the best coffee and it tasted as good as it smelled - have yet to meet anyone to make one like her. Her coffee I drank straight up in a big mug during all our all nighters.

That's why now I have an aversion to the stuff. Oh..but I do like the iced coffee and French vanilla coffees at 7-11 when I have to take a long drive, but I only drink the stuff if I feel like I have to stay awake. I also love green teas and chai teas.
