When I work out i try to work one muscle a day so on days that i do arms i spend a good hour toan hour and a half on curls and tricep extensions, and i get these massive pumps where my arms triple in size and i cant move them cause ther so stiff and im wondering first of all is that right? When it comes time for me to do chest agin my arms are still sore and it afects my workouts. How many times a week should i be working arms and chest and is an hour on arms to much on me? Someone help

I'm sorry, but it sounds like you are making a joke hear, and not an honest post. It sounds like you are going WAY, and I do mean WAY overboard and overtraining your arms.

Everyone is different, but here's my routnie. I spend 30 minutes tops on my arms twice a weak. They are 17", not 20", but I'm 5'5". I use 100% proper form. I prefer hammer to regular dumbell curls, and go extremely heavy with 100% form. I'd say go 5 or 6 sets per part, work up to 9 or 10. I do about 9 or 10 for each of bis and tries. Yeah, that means little rest between sets. Usually alternating a tri then a bi exercise. I wish testing overtraining ( any suggestions out there? ) was an exact science. Because guessing how much to do is crucial to gaining.

I'd say keep a journal, something few of us do, but all of us should. And monitor what works for you. When all is said and done the best tool a bodybuilder has, is a good accurate journal that leads to a thorough knowledge of themselves.
