How do you get the password for a secured internet network?

I am on an internet card and there are several families in my neighborhood that have secured networks which require a password. Is there any program or anything to crack the password? Thanks and lots and lots of k to the person who assists with this... thanks

Im on Motorola and its spotty sometimes and I notice several of the private networks have full range thats all. Im not trying to infiltrate the CIA or anything, at least not yet...lol

Unless they have your pass key code then no..... I just wondered due to the fact that there are like 8 private networks in my network base.... I usually have no problem with Motorola, its great..

What the guys said. There have been news articles about a place that was offering FREE wi-fi and still had a guy arrested because he used his laptop out in the parking lot, instead of coming inside to buy an overpriced coffee. More than one incident like that.

If your neighbors cared enough (and knew enough) to put a password on their stuff, you'd better not screw around with them. It's crossing the line.

The only cracks I know for password protected wi-fi networks are bruteforce password generators. Most of the encryption is pretty tight. I don't even bother to try to hack into them. Google may have some references.

When I download music I leach off of open wi-fi networks in my area.

yes its possible. cutting a lonng story short what you di is set your machine up to listen to all the communication in the network, then when its got enough data, you can figure out the encryption key

its been a loooong time since i was into this stuff so chances are, its a little ahrder to do now

First look for someone who isn't secure then go after anyone using WEP. Easiest to hack into. I will not tell you how to do it but it depends on the level of security on how easy it is to do. Of course the first start would be using the persons name, address etc.
