How do you dodos handle multiple passwords?

Gather around kids.

My pet peeve.

All those accounts, sites, and those passwords. Each one with their own requirements on unique passwords (Probably cuz they're lazy to encrypt their own database fields?).

Cuz I can't remember 40 passwords on sites - I just have a text file with all my passwords. And since my computer has a master password, and is secure from the internet - i'm not worried about someone getting access to it.

How do you hookers do it? Always use 'forget password' all the time???

If i ever change my master account - I am so phucked.

Oh, and Screech from Saved by the Bell agrees with me. This is a pain.

This computer, E-mail, and EF.

Three passwords.

You juggle 40 web sites, rub elbows with rock/movie stars, make $500,000 bones a year wheeling out guitars, know everything about everything, and still have time to share your wealth of informed knowledge to us lowly peasants on EF?

How do you do it man?

Tall Caffe Latte's.

Correction: And it's $500,000 worth of guitars. I'm planning a museum next year. I may give EF folks discount admission.

Awesome.

Can I wear work boots or should I get myself a nice pair of slippers for my visit?

I have an 8 character alphanumeric password with caps and punctuation that works for most everything

i have 3 or 4 depending on the password requirements.

good enough to vary so if someone found my original shit they couldn't hack into everything, but easy enough to remember.

it's always one of those so as long as i try once or twice i'll figure it out

I thought of that, but I don't want one IT bozo in a foreign country, selling the DB to some Russian hacker - and boom, they got access to 50 of my websites. I like to keep them a bit different.

Sites like paypal, ebay, bank account, etc. are completely unique.

Most of my posts are hacks by Nigerian losers who pretend to be me. I've only posted like 3 times here. :)

I use the same ones just capitalize the first one in some and not in others and add a number to the end (the same number) but remove it for others.

I tried using totally different passwords before but forgot them.

"WhistleBritches" is all my passwords!

Cool. Gonna look at that. But not sure if it's that handy enough to auto-fill username/pw's on any site I visit. Even Mozilla has a lousy track record at remembering pw's on sites. Most times I have to wind up retyping them.

try it. You can use the free version for up to 10 sites. lets say for instance you go to your bank site. when you get to the logon screen, roboform shows an icon in the roboform toolbar with the sign in name. You click on the button and it fills in all the info. Only password you need is the one to log in to roboform.
