How do know when inject site is infected?

What are some of the symptoms of infection> How long after you inject do you start seeing symptoms? If I do have an infection and I go see a doc at the emergency room, are they gonna turn me in? Any advices and experiences would be greatful

You feel warm, site gets red, you get a lump and hurts like hell. If after a week (after last shot) you keep hurting go see a doc.

Yep, swollen, red, warm to the touch, could be puss, painful. If you get a fever go to the doc immediately. I agree that it is good to wait a week but no longer. You could show most of those symptoms for many reasons other than infection, but in those cases it should usually go away within 5-6 days.

i had this problem couple weeks ago. i injected into my thigh. 4 days later started getting swollen/hot/red and i felt like shit. that next day went to the doc and told him i injected steroids. gave me some little speech and then gave me a shot of antibiotics. also gave me some oral antibiotics to take. took about 10 days to finally clear up. he said i was lucky i went in and caught it early before it became an abcess(sp) and would need to get it drained. so dont put this off too long. docs cant turn you in so dont be afraid to tell the truth!

the doc won't turn you in....but you will probably get preached at!!! Don't wait longer than a week because of possible infection....RADAR

injected 2cc's of T200 in my left delt last week. a couple days later I couldn't move my arm at all, and it was red and swollen so badly that my delt looked HUGE and awesome, hehe. Too bad it didn't match my right delt. I knew right then it was an infection. I went into urgent care and told the doc bitch that my friend gave me a charlie horse in the delt where I had cystic acne, and that I felt it spread the infection deeper. She kinda questioned that, but who cares? It's my word against hers. She did a blood test to check for my white blood cell count, and sure enough it was elevated, so she gave me some antibiotic samples. Feels much better now. Funny thing is, I injected from this same bottle of T200 before with no problems....

If your brave, you coule use a new clean pin, poke in same site(empty needle) and aspirate and see if you get any puss.

You don't need to tell the Doctor anything. I went for an injection infection and told them that I didn't know what the fuck happened, no more questions were asked and I was treated promptly. Don't let the shit go to long, I would wait a week though because it may not be anything to worry about.
