How do I search google for an old thread from a forum???

I am trying to get access to a thread that was deleted from another forum, I have heard that you can find it using google, anyone know how?

maybe you could type the name of the thread or a key word in the google search box

yeah but the name of the thread was the name of a well known site, all that would come up would be stuff to do with the site?!?!?
