2. Do a few murders that were done cleanly, couldn't be connnected and were never traced to the source.

3. Let the bosses know you are the one doing them and if they want to hire you they can.

That is the M.O. of what I've read of various hitmen. Just become good at cleaning, and sooner or later you'll find independent people to hire you.
