if your using internet explore , click tools at the top then click internet options then clear history. you should get rid of your cookies too but your girl probably wont find the cookie folder.

Here is the best way to clear everything:

Internet History-
In Internet Explorer, click 'tools' (top of the page)
click 'Internet Options'
There are 3 areas on that menu. 1 of them will have 'delete files' for files and the other 'clear history'.
Click on one, then when it is done, click the other.

Netscape should have something similar.

Now, right click on the task bar. It is the bar at the bottom of the screen with all your windows open. Click 'properties'. That menu will have a tab called 'Start Menu Programs'. Click the bottom button called 'clear' and you are all set. You can go back to the history area menu and change it to delete files after 1 day instead of the default 20 days.

Clearing the History doesn't do shit. You got all those cookies and temp/tmp files that are usually in several different directories. You need to go into Windows Explorer and do a couple of 'Finds' on *.tmp, and also one by date looking for the created and modified files. Also clear all 'Cookie' folders (may be in a couple of places). And always check you Favorites folder and the Icons on your screen. Porn sites are notorious about downloading info to your box. They'll also load shit into your startup files. And I wouldn't be suprised if net addresses were not in some of those encrypted files that are on your box. And your girlfriend might also have loaded a 'sleuth' program to monitor you. This computer thing is a freaking game. I've got a whole directory of 'harmless joke viruses' that I periodically unload on unsuspecting victims using anonymous email accounts. The next war will be on the internet.

Click the start button at the bottom of the screen, then move the mouse up to programs, now select MS-DOS Prompt. When there, type the following... format c:
proceed to allow it to do what its asking.

Now when you boot up, just quit windows and go to reboot in the DOS mode.

It will come up with:C:\windows. Then type in C:\ CD

Next type in format C:

Now you have wiped out those pesky files you don't want anymore. Trust me. HA, HA, HA........
