How do guys in prison get so massive

With such malnourishment is it possible to grow and maintain muscle. Does genetics play that much of a role? Doesnt it boil down to this. No matter how good ones genetics are if hes not eating he wont grow?

they say theres more drugs inside than out,and alot of crooked jail guards that bring drugs in so if there brining in that there bringing in the juice too

Maybe our vision of buff prison guys has been influenced by those we see on TV fiction shows. Personally, I've never seen buff prisoners and I live about 1 mile from a prison. (but that doesn't really mean anything)

1] Because the role of protein is overrated (we probably don't need as much as manufacturers want us to believe)

2] Drugs/juice

3] They may naturally have more Testosterone than the average Joe

4] Only in Hollywood prisonners are so massive

I thought it was hollywood too but the other night i was watching a special on TLC called super max. It was about max security prisons and they had this powerlifting contest in prison. Some of these guys were massive. Not just fat either. Im sure hollywood has given a false image to what prison is really like and no not everyone in there looks like ronnie but there are some big dudes

genetics can pretty damn big factor. I'm sutre everyone here has known at least one dude in their life who was just huge without even working on it. It's shitty but there are a few people who just get it handed to them.

Yeah the food they give you is high in carbs/starches, also if you have money you can buy as much food as you want from commissary ie. tuna...and you have PLENTY of time for rest and sleep.

I saw the same thing. One guy kept ripping up handcuffs and suicide blankets (think hanable lector type restraints).

Its the dam food they feed you! All i ever did was workout and sit on my ass.Not much of anything else to do.Sure as hell wasnt going to work for them after they took my feedom.When i got out poof the weight was gone in a few months..... Never seen anyone doing gear either...

Like ozz said!! Its T.U.T. (Time Under Tension) nothing to do but lift, eat & sleep! Got a good buddy that spent some time in and came out huge. Said the same thing as ozz.

How do guys in prison get so massive

Probably eat their cell-mate.

They are not starved and have access to just about anything you can get on the outside. I remember seeing pics of Craig Titus and he seemed to do ok. I am suprised they haven't opened up a prison just for bodybuilders.
