How did Douchaine die?

lyna, lol. You crack me up. You actually believe that Ben Johnson only took baby doses of winny because 'someone' said that's what he took. And yet you disbelieve that Duchaine had an illness that he has talked about for years and years. And that it was actually pretty damn impressive that he was alive for as long as he was with his illness.

IGNORANT!!!!!

This guy was a legend, and icon. How can you people sit here and bash him? Let the man rest in peace.

He didn't have AIDS!

He didn't die due to steroid use!

The man had a problem with his kidneys that was inherited genetically. What is wrong with you people? You really shouldn't speak on something unless you have some knowledge to back it up. Dont assume anything, you sound like assholes!! Also, never "speculate", that also makes you sound ignorant!!

"Learn"... That's what the Legend did... He learned for all of us ... and then he passed his knowledge onto us so we could advance ourselves, our bodies, and all of the modern day sports that involve AS...

Honor this man in his passing, and pay him his rightfully earned respect. He is truly a man that stood up for what he believed in no matter what the status quo said!! That's more than all of you will ever do.

Get the facts straight!

Genetic Freak

In memory of the late Dan Duchaine, I will post my favorite quote of his:

'Finalize the felony.' in referring to the act of injecting anabolics. He had such a unique delivery style, and could turn a phrase almost as well as Mark Twain.

The entire little underworld that we are in right now miss him, whether you know it or not.

He didn't have Aids, and there was no suspicion that his death was anything other than a problem he had since he was born with his kidneys. Polycystic kidney disease, a genetic defect that often leads to kidney failure. He was 47 and by all accounts, including both the police and coroner's report, Dan died of natural causes.

Geez, you guys are worse than a bunch of 13 year old girls with all your gossiping.

exactly

Did it ever dawn on anyone that despite his kidney problems, he may have lived longer had he not experimented with all these different compounds that made things even worse for his kidneys (AS and numerous other chemicals). He was one of the first to try numerous substances....Nubain, PGF2a, etc.

Gosh, I didn't mean to cause such a stir. But I do agree with AJC, a lot of AAS and other compounds are hard on the kidneys, so obviously, if he had a genetic defect, the drug use could aggravate it.

What gets me is he didn't even look like he lifted weights.

There are tons guys way bigger than him who never lifted a weight in their life.

Weird.
