How Did Bruce Springsteen......

StickFigure

New member
....get to be known as "The Boss"?? And how did he get so popular?

I can't stand his music or his style. His voice is teh SUCK and he's ugly as sin!

Can anyone explain this phenomenon??

It has something to do with the depth & sincerity in his music and writing. I won't go into detail becuase I don't feel like it and I think it would fall on deaf ears anyway. It is not all about "voice" and "looks," it is musical talent.

If your bag is the top 40 or metal or country, then that is fine. But whether you are moved by Springsteen's music or not, to state that he sucks and is ugly pretty much sums up your ability to judge what good music is and what isn't.

Musical talent??? His voice sounds like shit. And his stage talent is cheesy at best. Guy sounds and looks like he's constipated in most of his songs. I don't know where his musical talent even starts.

I saw him in concert back in the 80's. Dude played for 3 hrs and was impressive as hell. I only have 2 of his albums and I am by no means a huge fan, after seeing him in concert though he gained my respect. At one time he was known as the hardest working man in rock and roll. He is much better on the guitar also than anyone gives him credit for. Bottom line for me is that I like some of his songs yeah, but few can put on a show like the one I saw

hmmm....I guess I'll have to take your word on that one, as I will never be to one of his concerts.

i suppose it will just have to remain life's one great unsolved mystery.

the Boss is great...it's popular because he writes for the working man...the lyrics are very sincere, down to earth, very blue-collar..very powerful lyrics,,a skilled songwriter..

great guitar player..ive seen him live many times...his concerts are like a religious experience...

I think he kind of sux too. I do like "Pink Cadillac" though. That is a fun song. But when I hear "Baby We WEre Born to Run" I want to throw up.

He had a few good songs, I think there was one about throwing a baseball or line about that that I think I remember liking a long time ago.

I think his musical talent comes from the dude from the E street band that when onto play Sylvio on the Sopranos. That guys awesome
