How did Art Atwood ever go Pro?? Pics Inside!

I've seen Atwood in person on several occassions and these pitiful pics look nothing like the true Art Atwood in person on stage. Lets see how he looks at the O compared to the other top competitors. I'm a little curious Bouncer what were your placeings the last two years in the USA and Nationals?:)
 
At such a low bodyfat he lacks seperation BIGTIME! he is at like 5%~ also his blocky midsection is unattractive. He kinda reminds me of Greg kovacs Years back before he became pregnant.

But hell who am i to critique a pro~.
 
Well, look at Tom Platz, same thing, but if its what you love doing then your not likely going to stop just because of non-perfect genetics.

Bouncer i agree with what you have said about his structure, it is a little different but his conditioning is alot better than Ruhls and isnt that why he beat him out.......Markus always looks flat IMHO and dosent seem as impressive to me because he dosent have that freaky vascularity like Art does......I may be way off here but neither are top end pro's in my opinion, but id choose Atwood over Ruhl any day.

Bouncer is that you in your avatar?...If so great work bro...I agree about Art I think is got funky structure...But I think his lower body is pretty developed
 
I think he has nice full muscle bellies, good separation and is in proportion. But hey we all have our own opinions. He deserves all he gets as i am sure he busted his ass to get there.

to the average person yes. when he is standing there next to the genetic elite he has serious flaws. he has beaten people that he has no business beating.

Yeah, and his pecs are funky too, not very big or thick looking and lats look weird too. He almost looks like he was a big BBer that got squished and became flatter and wider.

But yeah, I'm tiny and soft and worthless next to him, so whatever. You got to give him props for getting as far as has with a shitty frame.

What the fuck is going on here? He´s looking awesome, the pics Bouncer posted were poor, the pics on Arts homepage speak a different language. He deserves to be a pro, stop bashing him, jealous idiots!
 
Hey is acutally a lot bigger than that at the moment. I just saw he about 1.5 weeks ago, here at some nutrition convention. He is upwards of 310-320 right now... Looks nothing like he does in those pics.

Bouncer I'm with you on this one, comparing him with other BB he does not have the thickness yet and as for what I can observe his arms and shoulders aren't thick enough to match his chest, once again this guy looks good but but it is all relative, and as for him beating Markus ruhl realistically , I think not, but I need to see the pics.

huskers1 if you are who you say, you have to understand that everyone is entailed to their opinion, some opinions you may want to discard all together, but the more intelligent one's you should take it as constructive criticism, for instance, we are commenting on the pics posted originally by the bouncer as they were, now some of the pictures in the website you provided us paint a different picture( i.e different condition different times), you shoulders and arms do match your chest, once again we criticizing the picture as we see it. I 'm sticking to my original opinion, in those pictures you lack a bit of symmetry,now in others that is not the case, you shoulder look much more huge and so your arms.

good point, huskers1 took this as an attack on Art when that is not the case. i was just saying that I think his body has a weird shape and there are better amatures. you can say all you want about me huskers, ie. "you look like a linebacker". notice i didn't take offense to that, that is what true bodybuilders do they don't let someone's opinion affect them.
 
I think its much more impressive that a guy like him who some of you say doesn't have the genetics becomes a pro...Simply because he must have busted his fucking ass to get their.......And the fact that the comp-is 10 fold to what it was years ago........Their are quite a few amaters that will never become pro----that have a ton of knowledge----however its all about dialing it all in on a certain day------

By the way if any of you guys are not in the top 10 on the national level and are coming up on 30 years old or beyond----

Guess what You'll never be called a pro yourself-----Anyone who has ever turned pro---didn't do it because they didn't deserve it-----peace---

haters! not me bro. as i said in a few other post, i wish him the best.
 
korat, nobody is hating on art. many of us feel the his shape is a little different than most top level bodybuilders. just an observation. the main problem with everyone is this husker character coming on here and cursing at everyone and putting everyone down. then he acts as if he is art atwood. that was my only problem.

I haven't seen him... but just talked with him tonight...I will probably see him in a week or two........ and I will let you guys know how he looks......
 
I know I am not one to be able to critique a pro as his physique is far larger than mine; however his symmatry leaves a lot to be desired imo. In all honesty I'd rather look how I look than him. I'd rather be symmetrical than just mass thrown on that sort of looks funny. But I have to give him props for getting that much mass no doubt, that look just doesn't suit me though.
