How accurate is this statement? ( Kidneys )

I read it on a messege board, and since i've always wondered about it, how accurate do you think this is?

Not to scare ya but kidneys can be damaged with no signs from blood work because they will still function even when they're damaged, until the damage is so severe that they begin to fail...

you should have your doc do a urinalysis...blood (microscopic or not) means kidney damage...even though your blood tests may not show any problems

I just switched from Dianabol to Anadrol ( very disappointed as I was expecting much more from dbol ) , and did only ONE 50 mg tab so far, and now I feel something in my kidneys. I dont know if i'd call it pain cuz it doesnt really hurt. But I do feel something going on there. It doesnt bother me that much. I probably wouldnt have thought about it if it didnt remind me of a similar feeling when I did my first cycle.

I'm just a bit worried and wondering if I should ignore.

Last cycle I ignored it and maybe a week ( or two? ) later, I started to urinate more and that feeling was gone. Did bloodwork afterwards and everything was fine.

I recently heard about a trainer at some gym nearby who just got kidney failure.

I'm starting to think, most steroid related health problems that I hear about involve the kidneys, but it MAY have something to do with insane cutting diets and/or drugs.

I'm also starting to wonder, do we worry too much about liver and neglect kidneys?

Anyway back to the question, how accurate is the statement above?

Blood in your urine does not mean kidney damage. it can mean other things as well like your passing a stone or you have a UTI. There are several stops along the way out of your cock that can cause you to piss urine.

Yes blood test show if you have kidney damage or failure or what have ya. This guy is watching fucking TV.

Just to clarify, no blood in urine here.

Wondering how accurate it is to say that blood tests can tell you if theres kidney damage, only when its serious, because if your kidneys are still functioning, bloodwork will tell you that everything is okay. In other words its hard to tell if theres minor damage or not because we dont really need the total capacity of both kidneys.

How accurate is this?

Unless you are a menustrating female, blood in the urine is ALWAYS abnormal. And yes, your friend is correct, there can be considerable damage to your kidneys before your typical tests (BUN and creatinine) will show up.

One of the reasons hypertension is so devastating is that the high blood pressure destroys the tiny blood capillaries that filter the blood in the kidney very slowly over a very long time, allowing it to sneak up on the patient (and the doctor) and not show itself until 50% function is gone. This by the way, is the MAJOR reason steroids get a bad rap for causing kidney disease, steroids have not been shown to be particularly nephrotoxic.

The dude didnt say there was blood in his urine.

From what i understand the doctors can tell your fucking life story with your blood results. Kidney damage can be detected the same way liver damage is detected, using value grade, if they have low or high values etc.

My kidneys ache all the time, usually from drinkin to much grog. worries me a little but the doc said i was fine.

You are wrong in this statement, it is perfectly normal to have trace amounts of red blood cells in your urine - it does not indicate any problems.

If you are pissing red on the other hand, you've got trouble.

do some research and you will see

If "typical tests" wont show anything, how can I make sure i'm not damaging my kidneys before 50% of function is gone? How can I monitor kidney function?

The Anadrol kidney ache is tolerable, but worries me. I'm not sure if I should keep ignoring it til it goes away, when on Anadrol.

I am sure YOU have a doctorate on this subject. I will concede that microscopic hematuria with few RBC may be normal and indicative of trauma or micronephrolithiasis but gross hematuria is ALWAYS abnormal.

Bro, the nitty gritty is, like liver damage, you cannot usually tell until it has already occurred. That is why you hear over and over the importance of maintaining good fluid intake so as to keep the capillaries flushed with water. I myself, keep vigilant for signs of brownish or dark urine and if it occurs, I increase my water intake and/or decrease my tr3n dosages. Probably not necessary, but it makes me sleep better at night.

The other thing you can do is take an ACE-inhibitor such as Capoten. These class of drugs have been found to have kidney protective effects.
