How accurate are those home cholesterol tests?

I just used one but the result can't be real. It says 140 total cholesterol, and I know genetically I'm always over 200 and always have been. I'll do another one and see what happens.

Too far from what the home test told you?
according to this kit, my total is 165...and my history always has been over 220

mmmh...thanks brother!

No home test in going to be as accurate as a lab value. There must or should be some explanation in the kit about the deviation as compared to a lab test. or at least there should be an 800 number to call.

They come with an 800 number but the instructions claim to be very accurate. It says is the same type of tester doctors use at their offices.
