I live in Houston and have been researching MMA schools/dojos for quite a while. If anyone knows of a good place for a straight-up beginner with little to no skills, I'd really like a good reference as where to go and train. I work 7 days a week and only have time in the evenings to do ANYTHING. I've been strength training for about 3 solid years now and I want actual "skills", not just muscle from the gym. I want to start out with some private training until I feel ready to work with a bigger class. If anyone here knows a good trainer/dojo to start training at I'd appreciate it more than you know, as I've found no luck with other resources.
So far I've been recommended "Revolution Dojo" and "Miletich Fighting Systems". Other than what the websites tell me and the 3 people that've told me about them, they seem cool, but not convincing as to what really seperates them. I'll stop rambling now and hopefully get a post...THANKS
