hou do you guys take flax oil

i got my first bottle of flax seed oil yesterday and when i took a straight tablespoon of it today, i just spit it back out...it has the worst taste...how do you guys consume this oil? does anyone mix it with anything to take the taste away?

I mixed mine (when I took it) with my protein shakes. Couldn't even taste it.

Liquid flax seed oil should NOT taste like old fish

Actually it has a slight nutty taste

If it smells and tastes like sh*t it means that it got rancide
You must then throw the bottle away

damn, i just bought the bottle yesterday...anthrax your right it does smell like old fish, i guess i gotta get rid of it now...when you say nutty taste do you mean like peanut butter?

If Im going to take a tbs with a meal, like an eggwhite omlette or something...I always make sure and drink a glass of water Before doing so or else my prostate will flare up when I urinate.

Avo...I certainly wouldn't throw it away. I'd be returning it to where I purchased it (assuming of course that is possible). First, you need either a product or your money back. Second the dealer needs to know that it may be selling rancid fish oil.

I buy mine from proteinfactory.com (big 32 ox bottles of the stuff) and I just gulp it down and drink water right after. Either that or mix it with my proteinshake. It doesn't taste that bad at all guys. I'm actually getting pretty accustomed to the flaxoil/gplenish shakes ... yumm yumm !!!

hey for those of you that say it smells like fish...is it pure flax or a blend (like Udo's)?

If it has MCTs in there maybe they're from fish oil...which could explain the smell??

Just a thought...

I took 3 tbls UDOs before hitting the gym and I had an aweful fishy taste in my mouth.

well, I'd rather say like walnut

but very slight
and mixed with protein powder or oatmeal you should almost not taste it
