Hostage Jill Carroll Released

yep I heard about this on Washinton Post Radio this morning. Some in depth and personal reports from colleagues of hers. how very awesome that she was set free.
 
Has anyone personally known any of these "hostages"? For some reason, I think some could be spooks that were caught only to have the US media label them as reporters or misionaries.

No shit rob. Its like saying that there was nothing wrong with a dead body at a murder scene, except the fact that its fuckin dead.
 
Not surprised. She was attractive & white - thus darling of the Media. As a result there was trmendous pressure from the Govt to release her.

Just FYI, many times they are released cuz the US finally offers up $XX money and amnesty to the kidnappers. Plus a promise never to do it again. That's what Canada did for thier kidnappers.

So these christian peace morons wind up costing us money.
 
I saw that on the news. She kept saying "they treated me fine, they gave me food, they let me shower...." It's probably because she's still in Iraq and maybe afraid to say anything that could get her back in trouble. I'd wait to talk shit about how they treated me until I was back in the U.S. in my house. LOL. I like how they gave her the Koran as a gift when she was released. I'm sure that's just what she wanted. :)

i wonder how many times she was raped. That if, if she even wants to tell the public. Most women prisoners keep it under wraps so they can deal with it personally.
