Horrible earache

I have this horrible earache in my left ear it is throbbing. I can tell it is swollen. Its middle/outer ear infection like swimmer's ear. I've had it in both ears off and on for the last 5 months or so. It comes and goes really. Everytime I goto the doctor they just say its swimmer's ear and to try not to get water in it. They give me ear drops which sorta work and say come back if it doesn't go away in a week. It usually does after I get the ear drops, but the weird thing is I don't swim much and rarely get water in my ears . . .

Anyone seen anything like this before?

I think i'm gonna see if I can't make an appointment with an ENT doc

Go see the dr..in the mean time...lay your ear on a heating pad or if you don't have one..heat a wet washcloth in the microwave and put it in a baggie and then wrap a dish towel around it and lay on that...should help

Mucinex D is wonderful it will clear up any build up of fluid congestion in your ear canal, but make sure you get the one with the D
