I am sitting here reading at work as usually and typical guy talk is going on behind me. Fag this and fag that going back and forth. Of course someone has to say something about you don’t like them because you are homophobic. Not sure of your own sexuality etc etc etc

Not because they were gay. But because it was f’king gross. Being two guys just added to it. It was more offensive to me because I kept gagging. It’s just not my thing. But they should have been more discreet just like any other couple should have been.

But realistically. I you are drawing attention to yourself. Not you! But in general. If you are drawing attention to yourself and you get it, don’t complain if it’s not the attention you were looking for.

Dude, you have to understand that I have no issue with anyone being gay. I found out my own father was gay about 3 years ago and that’s what broke up the marriage when I was 1. If there was any time that I had to deal with anything it was that. Fortunately I have no problems with it.

My mother finally told me last year that they were all waiting for me to bring someone home as a teenager. When the finally saw me with a girl they were all relieved. They are all old Italian. This was all going on behind my back. The big family secret.

Actually, for the few friends that I had that I found out were gay I got along better with then the guys who were “real men”.

I’m into art and things that “real men” generally have no clue about. If I sat here and discussed cooking and art from the late 18th century you would wonder about me too. No wonder when I find a guy who’s into this it turns out that he is gay. As long as he’s not flaming around me I have no problems. It’s just two guys hanging out.

The point of this thread is the way that society is trying to shape our perception. When we state that we are against something, the way we are now being trained to think is that the problem is with us, the person who is doing the thinking. As much as we think we are free to do what we want and we should be. We are not free to think what we want. Whatever the reason, right or wrong.

If i were gay what would bother me is the implication that i am the lowest of the low socially. even fat, useless, poor people insult each other by calling each other gay and faggot, like being gay is worse than being lazy, or fat or desperately poor or illiterate.

True. It’s more of trying to understand it more then anything. Since it is so close to home I have no way of getting a perspective on it. Is this wrong?

I’ve noticed that a good number of bodybuilders are gay. Maybe not overly proportionate to the general population. It just may be that with higher confidence bodybuilders are more likely to admit to it.

Or should I just join the majority and condemn it? Not likely…

Never said it was wrong- just you have been preoccupied with this topic in general, and yeah, I think it is an understandable reason...

I'd be disgusted (but not gagging) cause I can't imagine why anybody would want to be Goth or find it attractive.
And, yes, I agree, public manners should be more reserved than private manners.
On a number of occasions I've gone to dinner with a gay friend who insisted on discussing
queer sex topics in a raised voice where the next table could hear
and it makes me want to crawl under the table.(I've been known to get up and leave halfway thru dinner).
He doesn't get invited out a second time.

But on the other hand, it's just as often that people are shooting us dirty looks just cause there's 6 guys and no women at the same table.

It’s not only these guys I’ve almost gagged over. I think it’s the whole tounge in the mouth thing for the world to see that made me do a quick huck. I’ve seen other people do it and it’s not something that sits well with my stomach and my gut is made of iron.

Dude- it is not really cool to see anyone "just going at it" in front of you if they are straight or gay... I have seen both and both can be quite offensive, I guess it is a matter of style...

Reminds me of a theory I heard in a psych class where all guys are straight or gay, and girls are all bi, supposedly cause men are attracted to looks, physical qualities, and women are more into concepts, like stability, status, money, power, etc....

So I guess it would follow that gay guys would be more fit...
