Home Cardio Equipment Suggestions

Hey guys, tis the christmas seasons and I am looking to get myself some home cardio equipment. I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a piece of equipment that is under $500 (ya i know, im on a budget right now) and takes up very little space, maybe even collapsable. This could be a bike, treadmil, etc as I am just looking for some actual feedback on what people have and what they like. Thanks in advance.

Rowing Machines are freaking awesome IMHO. Treadmills suck, I would rather run outside. But since you got little space, rowing would be a good bet.

A good erg (rowing machine) will put you out more then $500. As an ex-crew member I wouldn't recommend using a bad erg, your just asking to get injured.

Any item mentioned of any quality is gonna run over $500. However, the cool thing about home excercise equipment is that you can find some pretty good stuff used, because people buy them and barely use them, then get rid of them for a song. Happens all the time.

IMO, an eliptical trainer would be ideal for home use. However a treadmill would run a close second. There simply is no better cardio excercise than running. The only reason I don't run more often and tend to go with the eliptical trainer is to save my knees.

I got a treadmill as an early Christmas present and it has been the best/most productive gift that I have ever gotten. I got it on sale at Sportsmart for $1000, normally $1200. It goes up to 10 mph at a 10% incline. For $500, maybe tried to get something used?
