Holy Internet Dating, Batman!

Werd

New member
I was looking at an internet dating site I use on occasion and came across a profile that I saw before (obviously remembered), but just never bothered to express interest in for one reason or another and thought....

"I know that guy from somewhere...."

Then it dawned on me!

"THAT GUY IS LIKE MY NEW BOSS!" :worried:

My company just acquired an eastern european company and the dude is the CEO of that company.

*chuckle*

I thought that he was acting strange not introducing himself, etc, etc....

Question is... do I let the guy know that I know... LOL

Ummmmm no. Funny you should say that though.... Most of the men here are in the same boat and no one seems to mind. ;)

They announced the official new Batman logo for the movie:

Looks like something out of the PC game Quake. I think I like the old one better, but I really don't care about the logo as long as the movie is good.

Cool. Hopewill it will look like Batman in Batman Dead End. With the Black and Grey. It's the beginning story of Batman I think.

And an the dating thing I don't see what's so alarming. Afterall you were on the site checking out his profile. What does that say about you?

message him, find out some bad/embaressing stuff about him and use it to your advantage

LOL.... naaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I just thought how small the world truly is. I remember the guy's profile from a search I ran a ways back... just to see what came up in country of my origin. Then to have this same guy actually end up being "my boss".... THAT was too wierd.

I won't email him because he is somewhat my superior and I don't want to seem unprofessional. Besides the guy has like zero sense of humor, so I don't want to do anything that *might* rub him the wrong way. My job is not in question here as I answer only to the owners of the company and they (there are 2) absolutely love me, but why should I do anything that might even be misconstrued?

Just have to shake my head at how odd life is. :)

Who is going to be batman and what villain is he going to be taking on? And please don't tell me robin is going to be in it.

Christian Bale is playing Batman (Equilibrium, Reign of Fire) and his villian will be Ras Al Ghul. I read a summary of the script some time ago, sounds like it's being done in a very thoughtful way. They are going to really build up the relationship that Batman has with commissioner Gordon and the police.

And no, no robin. :)

Keep it to yourself, there's nothing to be gained by embarrassing and ticking off a CEO. Just let it be your little secret, now you know something that most people dealing with him don't.

Now, lets get back to talking about the Batman movie. :D

i really liked Michael Keaton as batman.

Who is Ras Al Ghul or what should I say? I don't remember him in the series(never read the mag) . I mean what is his theme or character per say.

Matt,

I hate to but I agree with you again Keaten was the best Batman so far with Kilmor second.

You know he's single and looking, and you know what he wants in a partner (should be in his profile I'm assuming). Hook him up with someone who meets all his criteria and be ready for a promotion lol.

LOL The guy came across as having ZERO sense of humor. I don't know any chicks personally that would go for a guy like that. I am a really laid back kind of person and surround myself with the same. Is a pity really, because had he been a little less uptight, I would have loved to go out with drinks... oh well. No biggie.... :)

I have never seen any of the batman movies.... Were any of them any good? Worth renting?

I remember watching as a kid. Still would like to be able to do the Julie Numar Puuuuuuuuurrrrrrr thing. *Alas* I lack the skill. LOL

Yes... please do. I doink one guy in nearly a year and I am a shameless ho. LOL

Really, it isn't going to happen. He is not my type and I am far from his. He likes tall and skinny. I am short and thick.... not as thick as I used to be, but I am holding my own thankuverymuch. ;)

Apparently you're not shameless, werd. :)

one guy in a year no wonder you are looking around every corner. Interesting Internet dating story though.

It is a near consensus that Keaton was the best Batman, see it.

I agree, Keaton was the best but I really liked Kilmer too. You also have to agree that Keaton had the best script, Kilmer did good as Batman despite being in a shitty movie. Clooney, well we won't even bring that up. :D

Now Bale, he is going to put them all to shame. He was BORN to play Batman.

unless tim burton is directing the new one, it will probably also suck.

Nope, Chris Nolan (Memento, Insomnia) is directing. Plot summary:

"A new restart of the "Batman" franchise under the helm of "Memento" Director Chris Nolan and more in tone with the early "Batman: Year One" style comics. As a boy a young Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were slain in front of his eyes, a trauma which led him to become obsessed with revenge but his chance is cruelly taken away from him by fate. After disappearing to the East where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra's Al-Ghul, he returns to his now decaying Gotham City overrun by organised crime and dangerous individuals manipulating the system whilst the company he inherited is slowly being pulled out from under him. The discovery of a cave under his mansion, and a prototype armoured suit leads him to take on a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong - he becomes, Batman. In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as mafia don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan 'The Scarecrow' Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right."

Credited cast:

Ken Watanabe .... Ra's Al Ghul
Michael Caine .... Alfred Pennyworth
Katie Holmes .... Rachel Dodson
Cillian Murphy .... Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow
Christian Bale .... Bruce Wayne/Batman
Morgan Freeman .... Lucius Fox
Liam Neeson .... Henri Ducard
Gary Oldman .... Lt. James Gordon

i have no problem with my social life and dating and meeting ppl

but i wanna try the online date ONE TIME to see wtf the fuss is about

Internet dating isn't for people that "have a problem" dating LOL... just another way to meet people. There are a few different things to know, but you learn quickly.

Honestly, I prefer it... you meet people that you would not otherwise and you can quickly cut down on BS. Wierdos give themselves up with relative ease. And there is no "chemistry" to be distracted by...

I have no trouble meeting people either in real life or via the web. But I have met some interesting people no doubt - everything from dentists and lawyers to professional race car drivers and stunt men. Generally the experiences were good or I would have quit a long time ago.

"Ra's Al Ghul is the single most mysterious and cunning of Batman's foes. He does not associate with the criminally insane group of the rogues gallery. Ra's Al Ghul is a criminal like no other. No one knows exactly when he was born, but he claims to have been alive for over 600 years. His name translated means "The Demon's Head."

Ra's heads a worldwide criminal organization, whose mission is to purify a polluted planet, and restore nature to the dominion abridged by the human race, ultimately creating a better world where he would rule. He will use whatever means and force necessary to achieve his twisted vision of a new utopian society. Ra's is always accompanied by his faithful bodyguard, Ubu. His madness originates in the unique power source which maintains his body's appearance, The Lazarus Pit. It is a substance of unknown elements which replenishes the body, like a fountain of youth. The side affects however are spells of sheer madness. Being addicted to this substance for so long has dried any bit of morals and values for Ra's Al Ghul. He views himself as above any preset laws which are governed by mankind. He has many followers, and heads a cult like organization filled with men who will do his bidding. He is extremely dangerous and cunning.

His interest in Batman arose when he felt the Lazarus Pits affect was dwindling. Ra's feels he needs a male to be his successor. "

i hope this batman flick is dark and moody unlike the past two movies w/george clooney, those two had too many cheesy lines and everything was so bright and colorful

So inotherwords he wants batman to be his succesor? And poor werd I bet she doesn't use any movie slogans in her thread titles again. :D
