iVillage is reporting that the Caped Crusader may take on the Riddler in "Batman 3." According to the rumor mill, Johnny Depp might sign on to play the nefarious super-criminal. But caveat emptor—this could be just as false as the one about Crispin Glover playing the Joker.


only johnny depp could follow the ledger role. no other actor on earth could be that great.

I don't see them doing the riddler for the same reason they won't hire another actor as the joker:

All people will do is compare and talk about how ledger was so much better.

Riddler & Joker = same villian for them.

not if they write the character from the dc version. his whole backstory and character are different. you may be right though. i hope they dont do catwoman. angelina jolie was mentioned. i wouldnt see the movie for that fact alone.

He can definitely play dark and sinister. Anyone who doubts that should watch him in Sweeney Todd.
