Holy fuck im in rough shape

I did ran a 13.30 mile and a half and it took me just about 10 mins to get my breathing back to normal, and Im still hacking almost 30 mins later

this is def a wake up call that 1,I need to get my ass under 15% be(prob 17-18% now) maybe even shoot for 10

and 2 I need to be making cardio more a part of my training so I dont end up having a heart attack by the time im 30. Im worried about that as I got my heart rate up to 215 in that run and my max heart rate is 200

I Am The Same Way In The Exact Same Boat Bro.

If you got your HR to 215 then your max isn't 200. That's like saying I only weigh 200 but the scale says i'm 215. I can't run worth a flip but I can bike fairly well.

Cardio is the way to go. makes training weights slightly harder but worthwhile in the long run.

your max heart rate is 220 minus your age, hence me being 20 my mhr is 200,I cant explain it but felt as if I was about to die,and barfed when I stopped, then again when I tried to walk it off

allon-I agree,I think im just going to work on being a well rounded athlete as opposed to a bodybuilder who gets winded walking(not saying all do) but at 5'6 or so Im have issues weighing 190

Good choice IMO. I think you can still put on weight doing cardio but it may take more time and you may need more recovery time especially for legs doing cardio. But you will be much healthier and ripped and in the long run essentially even bigger.
I heard our Arnie Shwarzennegerman saying he was doing 1 hour cardio a day and working out every day... so if you head in that directrion your body will adapt and you will be much better off...

I've had my heart rate above 200...and to the point where the emergency staff could not read it...and lived:)

I'd love to run again...but it kills my knees. I love to ride a bicycle though!!!!

I LOVE running. But I've had tendonitis on my knees for quite a while. :(
You guys should be happy that you have the privilege of being ABLE to run.

why don't you guys participate in some other sports?

it seems so much harder to just go and do "cardio" than to play street hockey, or shoot some hoops

you should alternate running w/jumping jacks, spinning classes (lots of hot women take them) & jumping rope. Ive seen a guy have a heart attack from hauling ass on the treadmill-- frickin bad news- he turned white then greyish blue :worried:

That 220-age thing is just a rough estimate. Lance's max is 201 and he's 33'ish. Mine was 194 when I was 30-31...haven't measured since then.
