I know we kave gone over fluctuations in weight before, but how long is a reasonable amount of time that I should see whether this extra 5 lbs is a weight fluctuation or actual WEIGHT gain?? AAggghhh...
I feel a bit poochier around the lower abs as well. I just don;t know if its my mind playing tricks because of the extra 5 lbs.
Any suggestions on what to do? I'm drinking a TON of water. ( About a gallon a day)

Unless you have a bf test then and now - there is no way to tell.
 
You could also look at the TREND in weight - if you weigh every day - is it stable at one weight, fluctuates, goes up / down consistently? And watch that trend for a while - not just like 1 week but say for a month. Every day so you have a short interval of measure that is generally the same type interval (assuming your lifestyle is roughly the same on a daily basis). But bodyfat is what makes it mean more.
 
CUt the salt out for a couple days - see what happens. :) If the weight stays, it is fat, if it disappears it is water. lol I totally oversimplified it. ;)

Like Shad and Sassy said - get ongoing regular BF checks, then you can get a better idea of what it is. :)
