hitting veins on a regular basis WTF!!!

bullcocky

New member
I recently have been hitting veins on a regular basis. It only happens on glute shots. I am sticking the needle in the right area. Does anybody have some input? Its a damn good thing I aspirate! :worried: Never had this problem in the past!?! :(

I had been hitting glutes for the longest with a 23 gauge 1" and never had a problem. I switched to the 1.5" just to see if it made a difference and started hitting veins on a regular basis. Once my 1.5" run out im going back to the old faithful. Take this for what you will.

sounds to me like you're NOT doin something right.
it could also be that you're not very muscular.. in such case, the muscles are small and improper injections are more frequent.

That suggests that blood vessels are more prevalent deeper in the muscle.
Is that the case?
Why wouldn't you just inject a little closer to the surface of the muscle, aside from you worrying about your gear leaking out?

25g 1 inch. I never hit anything on a glute shot. However, I ALWAYS seem to hit stuff shooting quads. One time I was sitting down shooting up my quad when something felt wrong...I slowly pulled the needle out and blood spurted like 2-3 feet all over the place. it looked like someone got shot in the bathroom. LOL.

Now I try to avoid quad shots. I'm such a bitch when it comes to shooting quads.

dude...

forget the glutes.

inject in delts, chest and quatds.
much easier spots.

if you're lean (under 10%) a 1 inch needle is more than plenty for delts and quads.
for chest, i'd use a 1 inch but leave about 1/4 inch out.
