I recently had a round of blood tests done in the wake of a prolonged cycle of HGH in combination with Deca and a changing variety of other steroids. My doctor was concerned about my red blood cell count and my haemoglobin and haemocrit levels, warning that haematocritosis is possible if this were to continue. My liver enzymes were also slightly high (figures available if necessary for debate/comment). Of all the possible substance-causes he seemed to think the HGH was at fault. Admittedly I used it for a _long_ time, on and off since last November with a couple of one-month breaks; at 4 IU a day. This means I'm pretty well-saturated and should be for some time yet. At the time of the test my last dose had been about 4-5 weeks before and I'd been on for about 25 days before that, with a one-two month break beforehand.
I've been searching the Web for info on haematocritosis; what it is, how to treat/prevent it, how common it is, and so forth. The best I could do was a couple of refs on haematocrit itself, which as I understand it has something to do with the ratio of red blood to white blood cells, or is_ the white blood cells. Can't understand why having "too many" of those is such a bad thing. I found NO references to haematocritosis, however, although I understand from my doctor it has to do with clogging the liver and kidneys.
Will just staying off GH lower my haemo levels, or is there anything I can do in the way of herbals or other remedies that can assist in this? Is haematocritosis connected to HGH use in anyone's experience?
I want to start up a steroid cycle again soon, and of course will be wary of the orals considering that my liver is an issue here; I've been taking milk thistle faithfully ever since I started anadrol several months ago (I went one month on, one month off, twice, augmented by injectable test); I ended the whole long cycle on anabol tabs (I'd had some veterinary injectable earlier on at the start of the whole thing). I was pretty well on Deca throughout I have anabol, anadrol, proviron and winstrol tabs yet, plus some deca and test/sustanon yet to go.
I haven't had a noticeable crash _or_ rebound since ending the cycle; my strength is pretty well where it was at, although my appetite's dropped somewhat along with a mild decrease in energy level, but as yet no depression or significant weakening or other post-cycle crash effects; lifts feel more like lifts now and of course I can "feel" the workout the next day, as well as during.
FYI I'm 45, 6'5" and 260 lbs fairly lean (residual belly skin/flab from years of obesity). I'm a believer in "living better through hormone therapy" having suffered from ill-health resulting from serious injury at the age of 30, including years of muscle-wasting and relapses of the original problem (spinal-hip collapse from a torn piriformus) but I just want to be as well-informed as possible. I know this isn't directly an HIV- related inquiry but I'm thinking there may be specific medical knowledge in this board rather than the others where I've posted.
Advice, input please
Thanks
