So jus went to a nurse at my college to get everything checked out after my first week on cycle and everything was coo except my blood pressure is 140/76!!! WTF how is it that high after only one week? Has anyonexperienced this? What the hell should i do? Am i jus freaking out? neither the dbol nor the test have even kicked in yet! Please help me out guys

With each beat, your heart contracts, sending a surge of pressure into the bloodstream. This surge period is called systolic (sis-TAHL-ik). It is the first number in a blood pressure reading. After the surge period, your heart rests briefly and expands in preparation for another beat. This expansion period is called diastolic (di-uh-STAHL-ik). It provides the second number in a blood pressure reading. Thus, a blood pressure reading of "120 over 80" means you have a systolic pressure of 120 and a diastolic pressure of 80.
Doctors generally agree that systolic readings of 120 to 140 and diastolic readings of 70 to 90 are normal. Slightly higher readings---140 to 159 and 90 to 94---are considered mild high blood pressure (mild hypertension). Readings from 160 to 179 and 94 to 114 signal moderate hypertension. Anything above these limits is considered a serious problem.

* You need to purchase a BP machine so you can check yours while ON. I got my last week. It's a OMRON HEM- 670 IT which you can find online. It goes around your wrist. Since i have 19 inch guns i can't use traditional arm units. Just because you had one borderline reading doesn't necessarily mean you have an issue with your BP. Many things can affect your BP like stress, diet and body movement. In order to assert whether or not you have issues i would take your BP measurement at least 2-3 times during the day and do an average of the 3. Also, based on your measurement you are borderline 1st stage Hypertension but still not there yet. Don't worry so much bro you're probably fine.

relax negus. 1 bp reading means squat. find a way to take it several times over a week or two and examine the pattern before u get worked up.

what was your BP before you started the cycle? AAS isn't the only thing that increases BP. Stress and your diet are common.

Cut the salt if any out of our diet and get sea salt or subsistute salt. Sweat is the best thing that you can do for high blood pressure besides diet.

yea i already got a a wrist bp machine so ill be checking a couple times a week just upped diet by 1000 cal so that might have an impact but i eat extremely clean almost no salt so thats not a problem before my blood pressure was 133/80 so its not that much of an increase

Honestly bro,,,thats really not that high. I would also check it a few times,,maybe even a few different places.
MANY things can make it flucuate.

yea ill keep checking what would be a readin that i need to be worried about? and what should i do if it gets in a dangerous zone?

wrist machines are not nearly as accurate. if you want to keep a bp log, i would upgrade your tools. take 2 readins 10 minutes apart 3 times a day. create a mean over the course of a month. that should give you a better picture of where your bp stands.

If your arm is over 16" a reading can be innaccurate.

Heavy training can raise BP.

Your numbers aren;t that bad.

Ginko biloba and hawthorn is good for BP.

I agree thats not that high on a normal person , if you usualy have a very low bp then make some changes , i have high bp when i say high mine is 160/100 without meds its in my family history .

But keep i close eye on it mate ,it can get serious fast when aas is added in the mix.

Brad.

Mine has gone up a bit while on (137/96 with a pulse averaging in the mid 90's) but it's hard to measure now because my arms are just a hair shy of 21" now so even the doctor admits that his gear isn't big enough to meausure my BP acurately. Also like everyone has said, you need to have a lot more than one reading because 1 reading isn't sufficient to make an honest assement.
Oh yeah, make sure to get enough sleep. That messes up my BP more than anything.

I plan on monitoring it daily and keep logs to track any changes and ill try some of the supps mentioned n see if it helps thanks bros

my doctors all use wrist machines. They like them because it removes the human error factor. Get a NICE wrist unit. Take it 3 times each time you take it since your BP can fluctuate alot in just a few seconds. that way you have an average. Your numbers arent that bad as everyone said.
But going to see a nurse once for your BP means dick. You want a resting BP. that means sit down and chill for 30 min then take it.

21". Holy shit. The doctor probably has to use the BP cuff on your pinky!

Props on the guns, bro!

LOL Centeroiler and thank you RagenMma. This is the first time in my life I have been able to attain this size and oddly enough, on this blast, I am NOT doing any arm issolation movements (closest thing I do to an iso for tri's is close grip bench and pinwheel curls for bi's but that's it). For the last few months (since I hurt my should last year) I've been reading about the benifits that heavy pulling and pressing have on over-all arm size so I said what the heck and tried just concetrating on the basic compound movements with successful results (DC style).
Anyway, hopefully I'll get those Hulk Hogan "24 inch pythons" one day HAHA!
