Tobacco and alcohol are more harmful than cannabis and cause greater social and health problems.
Outlawing cannabis whilst allowing tobacco and alcohol is very hypocritical and largely aimed against a section of society that doesn't conform to the standards set by our governments.
Keeping cannabis illegal is also a revenue raiser for customs, police and prison industries. Because of its widespread use and importation police and customs services can claim more resources for more work they need to do.
