Damn this hurts like a bitch! Feels like someone ripped out my rear delt! And yes those bastards kept me over night...I didn't get out of recovery till 6:00 PM. I think the worse pain was the nerve block being put in....I think it was her first day and I was her practice dummy!

I just had the same AC Joint surgery he did. This sucks....my entire left side of my upper body looks like a f-ing water balloon!

Just from lifting.....he said (doc) it is common with regular weight trainers....he said I had quite a bit of arthritis in the joint, but it didn't hurt and of the muscles, tendons, or rotator, which is good. He just went in and shaved the collar bone and got rid of all the bone spurs, but still am holding allot of fluid from the arthroscopic procedure.....

Damn man...didn't know you were hurt. I'm sure you'll be back in no time bro. Not like Pottypisser. I have it on good authority that his surgery was a....what's the latest euphemism......"endowment enhancement" surgery.

You must have gone to Dr Killpatient. I was asleep when they put the nerve block in. Isn't it strange how different hospitals do things different ways? You'd think there would be an SOP for everything.

Are you still in the sling sissy boy, or did he tell you to take it off?

Not in the sling...haven't had it on since the surgery...... The shoulder feels pretty tight right now, but seems to free up a little each day. Can you put your arm above your head yet?

I did have the pain cathider(sp) in till Saturday night...but haven't used much pain meds other then that.

I didn't understand the whole nerve block thing either.....they must of stuck me 8-10 times before they got it...my neck is more sore then the shoulder.

I can pretty much move it freely now. Across my body is still a little tough, but I can do it with some pain.

I'm going to do a biceps workout this week. I'm going to add a back workout next week and then the first full week in November, i'm going to go back to a full workout.

I don't understand the whole pain catheter thing, though. I don't understand you being awake for the nerve block either. I was out cold both times I had surgeries where they did nerve blocks on my arm.

I think my wife told them to cause as much pain as possible!

Actually they gave me "something" to calm me down before the block.....but I could still feel the SOB. I think they gave me the nerve block to "save time" since the OR wasn't open yet and was waiting in the recovery room. That way when the room opened up they wheeled me in, put me out and were off to the races! That's a County Hospital for ya!
