We started a project, you and me, about making huge explosive flavors and it fizzled and died.. almost...

Here is what I AM doing, and i want you to chime in as strength athletes, fitness types and generally knowledgeable, generally savy folks... um... sorry app, i will make a thread that includes you too sometime soon, i promise.

What i am compliling is a compare and combine grid of 'flavor givers'... you'll understand better later, but for now, this what we need to do:

Post up on this thread items that impart flavor to your food, that add to what you do to sustain/reduce/grow. Herbs, spices, roots, tubers, rhysomes, fruits, minerals, wines, extracts, etc etc.. whatever you use to flavor your food...

Yes, this will get some truly outrageously stupid replies, i know that already, but those that do reply with a couple of good items will reap the benefits of the larger project as time progresses... this is step one, put together the list, however haphazzard, step two is make a poll with as many of the items as possible to get an idea of their current use/popularity among us a group of 'athletes' or at the very least, fitness motivated individuals... the steps thereafter i will bore you with then...

Lets really do this, it can only make for a better, more satisfying and varried set of choices for ALL of us to use in whatever goal specific food regimen we embark on: more variety, more chances of avoiding boredom, more chances of sticking to the plan and getting the results we need, regardless of the goal.

Ok, i got first dibs on SALT, the mother of all flavoring ingredients and GINGER one of most widely used flavors on earth.

Your turn, hook us all up!
