Around here softball is bigtime. It's very competitive and people take it serious. Some tournamets you better be a good player, if you are only average you will stand out like a sore thumb.

I'm a player..original Synergy, Freak 120+, Mayhem, Evo, Mizuno Blurr Ussa players edition. I play for a team out of New England and we travel twice a month to different states and play USSSA "B"s.
Let the haters hate....the people who disregard it have never played it. I would actually love to have one of them pitch Batting Practice to me......the tune would change real fast.
But lets look at both for a minute....because I also played baseball until the age of 30.

Baseball.....
you can sit in the outfield for 2 hours and grab one or two ground balls. With a good pitcher, scores can be 2 to 3,infield is huge and most of the time the ball doesn't even hurt the hand on the hardest hit groundball or line drive.

Softball.....
Everymother fucker who goes to the field hits it a ton. Infield is a very dangerous place to be.
Homeruns are limited so you need to smash the thing in the face and again....at 45 feet away....this sucks defensivly.
Everyone hits
scores are 30 to 45
If you aren't a great defensive player then you will never play on a good team.
and hitting a grapefruit 330 feet takes a real man.

So Haters....step up find a place to pich me some BP and look the fuck out cause I guarantee you can't move your glove before I smash you in the knee.

I tattooed a thirdbaseman in the shoulder 8 weeks ago..we played them again last night.....his shoulder is still purple.....he he he he he he.....I asked him what happened.....he said he never saw it leave the bat.....and boom he was on the ground......

It is funny how people chirp about softball till they get on the field. I am an outfielder on a three man outfield. I would rather nail my cock to a burning shithouse before I took one step onto the dirt. Infielders are crazy.

Pit...it's crazy isn't it. I never try to go middle unless the other team opens it up. I hit a pitcher in Ct at a B NIT a month ago and he droped like he was shot in the head. Before I could run to first call time out and get to the mound you could already see the bump on the outside of his pants.

I will also agree with that....it isn't always fun but when your sponsor gives the team 10k and pays for flights and hotels it is almost like a second job.
people can certainly play this game and have fun....we have fun every weekend.....as long as we win.
It's like anything....some people go to the gym..work out for 20 minutes talk to there friends and say, working out does nothing for me...it's no fun. Same with softball....same with life.

Yes, composites rule the game now and unfortunately it's made hacks like Sawastea here think he is Hank Garris. Too bad he doesn't understand he is more comparable to Hank the Angry Dwarf.

Middle wars are not fun and I have been part of few. Worst one I saw was at the Smokey a few years ago. And shooting middle on purpose in league is beyond bush.
