No contradiction at all! You obviously didn't take not of the sarcasm in that statement. I would have banned him after his first post myself. Once it became obvious the mods weren't going to do anything about it, it became a race to see who could red him into banishment first.
And if, as you put it, his behavior was that undesirable and warranting of banishment, where were you before it got out of control?

Who cares where the thread went, honestly?! The guy posted something idiotic, he got flamed (well deserved) and its over. No one was gaining anything from that thread, it was pointless to keep it going. I dont think it matters if the guy is banned or not, he'll probably never post here again and if he does, what do you think will happen.
