sounds boring to me. I always have my cat grab scratch and bite the hell out of my forearm. thats all play though... he never actually pierces skin. he understands. When im wearing a thick coat he knows he can bite harder.

i rescued this cat from a neighbors window well during a bad storm- I got 3 of the 5 kittens and kept one, and found awesome homes for the other two. I bottle fed all three of them for 2 weeks because they were so little and their mother got hit by a car.
obviously, she wasn't spayed and was either a homeless cat because HER mother wasn't spayed, or some irrisponsible and ignorant person had an outdoor cat and never spayed it.
The other 2 kittens i couldn't rescue are now strays that eat my rotting garbage and most likely have earmites, worms, and any number of other diseases. one of them just had kittens. lovely.
So, did i neuter my cat just so he wouldn't spray piss in my house? nope. i did it because my vet, who LOVES animals and totally adores my cat in particular, said it was the right thing to do, knowing he's an indoor cat. She said its not a big surgery and two hours after she did it, he was running around, acting perfectly fine.
One of the kittens that i rescued went to the home of a single woman, who lives in a nice apartment building. that cat has almost zero chance of getting outside, unless it learns to ride an elevator. her vet, whom i don't know, also said that she should neuter it. that vet charged $60 for the whole thing- obviously it wasn't for profit.
its amazing to me that anyone who likes animals would use such harsh words when on people who are doing something for the benefit of the animal world.

dude, explain to me what part of the whole reason behind getting a male cat nuetered you don't understand? i'm not trying to call you out on this either, just trying to understand why you feel it's so wrong. it's a cat, it's balls are removed. it will not piss all over her house now trying to mark it's territory. would it be better if she just let it go run free because it was pissing everywhere? what about her kids health? her health? having a cat pissing everywhere just because you are against having it's balls removed could have serious adverse affects on the health of everyone in the home.
is it really worth letting that cat keep it's balls so it can "Feel like a man" only to have yourself and all of your family getting sick and having your clothes, beds, and furnature smelling like piss all the time?
that's the reason she got it done in the first place.
