It's the most coveted and lucrative nursing job that I've ever found. It sucked though bc I would be on call for 2 weeks at a time and would have to fly out on only 45min notice. Not to mention the airfield was 40min from me. Being on call is the worst fucking thing ever invented. FACT

I worked 1yr ICU step down, 3yrs Medical/Surgical/trauma ICU, 3yrs flight nurse, 2yrs ER and now an occupational nurse. I'm starting a nurse practitioner program in roughly a year with a specialty in trauma.

Not all nurse jobs are created equally. My mom made solid money as an ER/infection control nurse, and that was 25 years ago.
