what events are going on for your training day???

I kinda need to know since I think I am driving down for it, don't want to embarass myself so I might want to start practicing
 
hey man

there is a light, middle weight, heavy weight, and tec weight class

i'm not sure but I THINK the light cutoff is 199 and under

I think middle weight is 200-250

heavyweight is 250+

tec is where they put crazy 16 year old 172lbers who can't compete in the heavyweightclass because nobody likes to see a 300lb strongman cry.

....actually tec class is lightweight teen :rolleyes: :)


and if you can make it down here before july, you and hammer...and anyone else is welcome here.
 
lol, tec class, is that the class where you house all the food at the end of the day.lol. Thanks for the weight class info. I really don't know where I am gonna place in this mix. I hafta start getting ready but with no equipment it is gonna be tough
 
I think that they covered everyone. I hope to post an fully entry form no later than Tuesday. I need all entries in by or before July 2nd!!!

they are, but its like there are more than 2 lightweights, 2 middles, and 3 heavies.

i dont care, i'm just gonna stuff my face and try to gain weight and enter whatever class i end up in....i'm hoping i can get good enough to go to boston..so i need to gain bout 20lbs bw now and then.lol

good for you......................:confused: it looks like im going to have to drop some weight for this contest. i dont think i want to be a heavy this time around.

thanks man...yea bein in the 250's at clints may be harsh, but i'm sure you could do it if ya just try. just go with what feels right and you'll do fine. you did great at this contest.
 
You will need to be in good shape for this contest. You will need very good footspeed for sure...and a strong grip:)

You have a few weeks to work on it. Any way that you can do timed holds with the bar? Deadlift holds? Hercule's Hold simulations in the cable crossover rack?

You will have to settle it on the Hercule's Hold then...lol

hey if im under 250 is that one of the middle weight groups.......... ie using 250 on the herc hold, or will that be heavy using 300 on the herc hold???

201-250 is middles...will you be in the 250 class?

You should be using 250 on the Hercules Hold. 1 minute should be a good time.

heck yes........... ok ok ok......... i'll put the oreo's down and do a little cardio so that i can drop this extra 7 lbs i put on for the contest.
