Are you supposed to floss after every meal>? Or is it just a once a day thing? Cuz i could totally see how it would be beneficial to do it after every meal. Im flossing right now BTW.

Also, I may paint my toenails.

Is it 5:00 yet?

I do brush 3+ times a day though (the tongue too)
Well Im flossing right now, and it looks to me like it needs to be done. I mean, its not a death sentence not to floss, but maybe you should try it once in a while.

regular brushing dosent get the plaque in between the teeth, flossing does, also use a good mouth wash.

The forming of plaque that can result in a cavity requires a specific spot on a tooth not to be properly cleaned for at least 24 hours on end (as well as several other factors I won't mention)

so theoretically if you clean your teeth once a day and really know how to do it and not miss a spot all over and between, you'd never get a cavity. However most people were never taught to brush properly (and elec brushing is overrated btw)

It's better to brush and floss more than once a day just to be sure.

Also this is all not even taking into account how a clean mouth is a nice feeling, gives confidence, and smells nice.

The question, are you supposed to....

requires the information of according to what....

some people never floss but have a good diet and brush well and never get any kind of problem with their teeth. It also helps if you have some spare room in between your teeth so things dont get stuck as much

I brush my tongue

gotta brush the tounge, but even with that, i still need to remove the tounge stud every few days and give it it's own separate scrubbing. i brush it every time i brush my teeth, but it still gets a little build up. at the first sign of such, it's out of the mouth and cleaned.

I thought the primary purpose of flossing was to toughen up the gums?? Other than to remove particles from between teeth........

Also, I use a Sonicare toothbrush, so don't floss as much as well as use Listerine -- which according to the commercial is just as good as flossing.....I hope... :worried:

4 outta 5 dentists recommend brushing
