YOUR RELATIVE IS ARRESTED, TRIED, AND CONVICTED FOR A CRIME. ALL ALONG THEY CLAIM INNOCENCE, BUT IT IS FAIRLY CLEAR THAT THEY DID IT. DO YOU HELP THEM WITH LEGAL FEES AND WORK TO GET THEM LEGAL HELP AND APPEALS, ETC?

and when I say obligation I mean to immediate family...not your third cousin....if my brother/dad/mom was in any kind of trouble I'd be there in a second doing what I could...even a close friend of mine that I consider family...

Sorta depends on the crime.. was it something that hurt another person's wellbeing? If so, and it was serious, then I'd be hard-pressed to try to help the family-member get acquited. But if its something like getting caught stealing a pack of Garbage Pail Kid cards, then I'd help out.

Yes....b/c there was no physical harm to anyone....I'm SURE that my parents would help me out regardless of the situation...if you had a child who committed a crime....you're telling me you would just tell them to go to hell and not help out at all??
