WASHINGTON — A bipartisan group of Senate lawmakers and the White House struck an immigration reform deal Thursday that would grant legal status to the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants already in the United States and increase border and interior enforcement initiatives.

Yeah! Here's to rewarding lawbreakers, millions more flooding our borders, more overburdening of our health care system, increased traffic jams, rising rent increases, less english spoken and rising crime. Maine will look like la in 10 years. Yeah!

In good news: smart folks can now start new companies that do nothing more than find american jobs and hook them up with non-americans to do them. A financial goldmine for people who can take advantage of all the newcomers!! A monster.com for 'guest workers seeking american jobs'.

In bad news: mexicans will now have to compete with somalians and chinese for low-wage jobs and find out they kicked themselves in the foot with this guest worker program. More racial warfare will result.

In bad news2: the middle class will be extinct within 20 years. Only highly educated and rich americans and the lower income americans they employ will remain. Middle class jobs will be taken over by better educated foreigners who can now easily obtain work permits.

In good news2: In-demand skills will be the only savior for american-borns who want a satisfied living and have a chance competing against better-educated foreigners. The importance of education and having employable skills will be even more important to young americans. Girls gone wild party chicks and weed-smoking dropout males will be stuck being poor most of their lives.

The senate just fucked america more than 10,000 al qaeda soldiers combined.

I love it when they say that Americans won't do these jobs. They left out a key part of the sentence. Americans won't do those jobs for the suppressed wages that are now paid for these low skilled labor jobs due to high supply/low demand. The jobs they are speaking of used to pay a living wage and Americans were glad to do them. Not any longer.
 
Those people are already here. Might as well get them paying taxes. :whatever:

it's good that our government has it's priorities in line.

I think the intent of the bill is to tighten the borders but to allow a means for the illegals who are already here anyway to start paying taxes and participating in a positive way.

I have an idea. Let's grant them amnesty IF they each agree to do a 12 month tour in Iraq. Otherwise, let's ban foie gras...

This bill essentially says to the billions of people that want to come here:

If you break our laws and enter our country illegally we will give you a fast-track to citizenship because we're too lazy to care.

Put up a fence, guard the fence and shoot every single one of them that tries to cross it.

And don't drop the "we are all immigrants" - yeah no shit but my ancestors waited in line like everyone else.
 
They should use that trick they used on the Simpsons where Homer "won" a free boat.

If they grant amnesty there should be a shoot to kill order at the border. Seal them off.

I like the idea of the new rules to become a citizen require education and people learning to speak English.

Is it amnesty if you have to pay a fine? I think they have to pay 5,000 evenutally ending at 40,000. I'm not sure if thats right ;but thats a hefty fine.
 
i dont get it, what am i missing about the term "illegal" if they arent supposed to be here ship their asses back, wait for them to claim amnesty and then say sorry time to go

I want the National Guard to come back from that stupid war and begin doing raids in every town of every state. I want every illegal alien here shipped back to where they came from.
 
Illegal immigrants bring disease, poverty, crime, single mothers and after 18 months they qualify for Social Security and other entitlement programs so I get to pay for them.

Yay.

Yes ; but do you understand why thats not happening? THese people have cellphones, buy cars, most businesses dont want to get rid of them.

I agree with what you are saying ; but I just dont see that happening. lol. I understand why its not happening. It should have never been allowed to get this bad.

It's not happening because our governemt is afraid to get millions of latinos in what would amount to mass uprising.

Round them up. Kick them out. Use force if necessarry.
