i know this has been asked a thousand times, but how do i post a permanent pic at the end of my posts? im definitely not a computer guru so this has been a struggle to figure this out. i tried a number of different approaches but nothing worked, the url just kept coming up, no picture. any help for this computer illiterate person is appreciated.

just give the location on you're harddrive. before it you place
I can't give an example because he will just show the pic like in the first reply!

Oké, didn't work either! It's hard to explain it!
Simple as possible
1) go to you're profile
2) at the left you see under signature a link to vb-code
3) click on it and read the vb-code about placing a image in you're signature
4) Do what you just read!

I have been hand printing these signatures on my monitor and now I can't get them off.
 
This is the coding of your pic:

The system is reading your hard drive and the URL, you are entering it wrong.

That URL is no good, there is no pic to show.

your file has to be on a server, anything like:

c:\\directory\file.xxx

will not work

there is no pic there just the box. do i just have to enter what you just typed above with the vb codes on either end?

YOU NEED A URL ADDRESS!

THe one you are using from tripod does not exist, that is why it does not work.
 
Well you just have to put the vb-code infront and behind it!
You don't need a URL addres

Location of my signature:

C:\foto's\WCW\01.jpg,

see no URL!
 
I see no pic either, the only reason you do is because when it tries to access:

C:\foto's\WCW\01.jpg

it finds it on your computer.

When it trries to find it on mine I get a broken image. Ask anyone on here if they can see your signature image.

THEY CAN'T
 
The picture you want is already on you're harddrive! if you dind't save it it is still on you're harddrive under temporary internet files!
 
You see mine though, not trying to flame you Steiner just that I do this shit for a living.

You need to link your sig photo to an image that is already on the web. You are linking to a pic in your hard drive. Your hard drive is not on the web!

it wont let me do it. it must be a bad pic, i cant get the pic to you, somethings fucked up.............. i click on it to email it to you and the comp. says it cant find the file.
 
Not on the web, your pic doesn't show, the reason is that the only computer in the world that can access your "My Documents" folder is yours. That is why it might appear as if it works to you, trust me that no one else can see it because they can't access your computer. Send it to [email protected] and I will host it for you.

im going to try to find another pic with a url and attach it to my sig, i think this would be the easiest thing to do. i can mail it to you if you still want it.............
 
OK put this line in your sig, you have to add this: ] to each side of this [img and [/img I did not complete it because if I did it would show the image and not the text.

You had it and then you changed it?

The end of the string says:

016jpg

It needs to say:

016.jpg


Put the period back

The pic is on a server that is up and down, some times it works, sometimes it don't.

Ask a bud to look, it is there.

Change your sig to this, I uploaded it and shrunk it a little, my server is never down.
