No offense intended, but that is THE worst possible Rippetoe thread out there. Lots of bad information there, including the 2.5% thing. That was just something the guy who started the thread made up because Starr's intermediate 5x5 program uses it. There is nothing in Rippetoe's book that talks about increasing the weight by 2.5%.Czar87 said:
