Help with my Diet! Please!

OK here is my current regime. Keep in mind I travel ALOT for my company, and each day is different from the next, so it is difficult to prepare a lot of high quality foods. My goal is to cut fat, I am 6'1'' 250lbs, probably about 20-25% bf. I should probably be taking in 2700 cals a day, which would be cutting about 1000...but I'm pretty sure I'm not getting it.

Water: At least a gallon per day

6am - 45 min cardio

7:30am - 3-4 eggs, 2 pieces wheat toast

10am - MRP shake ("light" variety only 180 cals, thinking of going to regular when I run out), banana

1pm - either sandwich or wrap, wheat bread, 8-12oz chicken or turkey breast, veggies

4pm - 5 oz. tuna, apple

6pm - lift 1hr - 1hr15min, 45 min cardio

8pm - large lean cuisine 300-390 cals (anything healthy i could prepare in a hotel room, or from a restaurant?)

10pm - MRP shake, 2 Tbsp ANPB

So, any opinion on changes or convenient things to eat to boost "good" calories would be greatly appreciated!

Looks cool...

Take all the food and plug it into http://fitday.com from there, you'll see what's what..

:) I like well read newbies.... well done so far!

That's ALOT of cardio my man, lol... you can definetly eat more...

Healthy from a restaurant... definetly... I've been known to order plain grilled chicken and steamed veggies (brocolli is my choice there usually)... and order a "dry" (no sour cream, no butter) potato too probably be under 10 bucks for a hearty, clean meal.... prepared for you.

plain grilled chicken with a little cajun seasoning on it hmmm....starting to get hungry here

also alot of quick diners don't serve brown rice for some reason...if they have wild rice i think that is fine if your not in the mood for a plain baked potato...although i love em!! sans sour cream and butter that is :)

I agree its a lot of cardio, I am feeling good though and energy is high, I just need more food. Do you suggest I eat this type of meal at 1pm, or 8pm? I would guess earlier in the day, it seems kind of heavy to eat at night after workout.

yup more food :)

Well after a workout (i usually haven't eaten for 2 hours or so) I have a Whey in water/juice... then in 60 minutes or so i'm starving and can eat a huge plate of food :chomp: that's a great meal... eat it 2 times a day if you can at 1 and 8pm lol :) Add a dash of olive oil for some healthy fats (easy extra calories too)

What about lean steak? (sirloin, filet) Or should I stick with chicken/fish? If I did have steak I should probably cut out the eggs, or try to make my own egg whites in a microwave. Too much fat I think. Oatmeal is an option but I would have to make that too, since the hotels usually just have those flavored packets with the sugar and all.

Egg Beaters are a great quick option for eggs too... i use both beaters and whole eggs most of the time.

lean steak is great! whole eggs are too... just don't over eat... and know your portions... use www.fitday.com to track your calories... because the more calorically dense the food is the more likely you are to be over your daily intake than you probably think.

Lean beef is a great source of protein, it ranks the highest in protein quality of all the meats on the PCDAAS. It's also a VERY rich source of nutrients. For example, it is one of the richest sources of zinc, 3 oz of beef has roughly 2/3 of the USRDA of zinc.
